Ralph Austin Yoak, 88, of Cape Coral, Florida, passed away November 10, 2018, in Parkersburg, WV.

Ralph was born on February 26, 1930 in Calhoun County, WV, the son of the late John W. Yoak and Eva Richards Yoak.

Ralph graduated from Calhoun County High School in 1947. He enlisted in 1948 and served in the U.S. Army as a second lieutenant during the Korean War. After being discharged, he entered the University of Colorado in 1954. He graduated with honors in electrical engineering in 1957. He worked the majority of his professional career as an engineer for Hughes Aircraft Company.

Ralph lived in the state of Colorado for many years. He had a group of friends there that he met with regularly which meant so much to him.

Ralph will be greatly missed by his siblings, Clifford "Kip" Yoak and wife Jean of McAllen, Texas, Garnett Chernesky of Sagamore Hills, Ohio, Herb Yoak of Big Bend, WV, Betty McVaney of Parkersburg, WV, Beverly Robinson of Jonesboro, Georgia, and nine nieces and two nephews.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers; Victor and Ronald Yoak, and sister June Cunningham.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, November 24, 2018, at Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc., Grantsville, WV with Pastor Tim Davis officiating.
