Mary Jane Brown Somerville, 88, of Elizabeth

Mary Jane Brown Somerville, 88, of Elizabeth, WV passed away Friday, November 16, 2019 following a brief illness. Born February 18, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Brown, Ethel Zelovic Brown Boston and Lloyd "Pudd" Boston.

She was preceded in death by her parents and step-father; husband of 59 years James Somerville; siblings Eugene Brown, Margaret Denton and Ernest Brown, Jr; grandson Aaron Bland and son-in-law Phil Shears.

Mrs. Somerville was a 1949 graduate of Wirt County High School where she was an outstanding drummer in the high school band, a homemaker and member of the Elizabeth United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her brother Lloyd "Buddy" Boston; daughter Sandy Shears; sons Randy (Joyce) Somerville and Ronnie Somerville; grandchildren Ashley (Alan) Wanosky and Chelsea Somerville. great-grandchildren Gillian and Juliet Wanosky and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be Monday November 19, 2018 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with the funeral at 1 p.m. at Matheny Whited Funeral Home in Elizabeth, WV. Interment will be at K of P Cemetery in Elizabeth.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Housecalls Hospice. The family would like to thank the medical staff of Camden Clark Memorial Hospital, Housecalls Hospice and care giver Cindy Holmes.
