HUNTINGTON SHOOTING — Huntington police said a man is facing a charge after shooting another man outside of MedExpress.

Geoffrey S. Preece, 45, of Crown City, Ohio, was charged with malicious assault, according to a criminal complaint filed in Cabell County Magistrate Court.

Police said the shooting happened about 4:45 p.m. Thursday outside MedExpress. Witnesses said the suspect and victim were arguing outside the building.

Police said Preece went inside the building to retrieve a firearm from his wife. Police said he fired two rounds and one struck the victim. The victim was taken by personal vehicle to St. Mary's Medical Center.

The condition of the victim was unavailable. Preece posted bond and his next court appearance is set for Nov. 21.

WOMAN STABS SISTER - Huntington police have arrested a woman accused of stabbing her sister.

Eldonna Pennington, 27, of Huntington was charged with malicious assault, according to a criminal complaint filed in Cabell County Magistrate Court.

Police said the stabbing happened about 7:20 p.m. Thursday in the 100 block of Davis Street in Huntington. Police said Pennington was in an argument with her sister. Police said the victim said Pennington picked up a kitchen knife and stabbed her in the arm. The knife went completely through her arm and into her side, police said.

Pennington was taken to the Western Regional Jail and bond was set at $25,000.
