Art L. Brown, 72, of Arnoldsburg, WV went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 12, 2018 at his home.

He was born in Calhoun County, WV on February 22, 1946, a son of the late Basil Clarence and Lola Marie Burchett Brown.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by granddaughter, Cecile Brown, brother-in-law, Willard McCumbers; brother-in-law, Norman Witt; brother-in-law, Claude Webster; brother-in-law, Orville Waggoner.

He is survived by his son, Robert Brown (Angie) of Concord, NC; son, Roger Paul Brown of Kannapolis, NC; and daughter, Melinda (Fletcher) Murray of Rock Hill, SC; ex-wife, Glenda Carter of Orma, WV; brothers, Junior Brown (Mary) of Grantsville, WV; Roger Brown (Carol) of Spencer, WV; sister, Linda McCumbers of Arnoldsburg, WV; sisters, Polly (Denver) Helmick of Nicut, WV; Mary Witt of Spencer, WV; Carol Webster of Spencer, WV; Suzanne Waggoner of Arnoldsburg, WV; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to express a special, heartfelt Thank You to Linda McCumbers, Audrey McCumbers, Dennis McCumbers, Sharon Rogers, and Kathy Helmick for all of your extra help.

In following Mr. Brown's wishes, he was cremated. No public service will be held. Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc., Arnoldsburg, WV has been entrusted with the arrangements for the Brown family.
