TONIGHT IS FALL BACK NIGHT - Daylight Saving Time Ends

(11/03/2018)
Time marches ahead, usually, but it's in retreat this weekend in the United States. It's fall back time.

At 2 a.m. local time Sunday, daylight saving time is ending, and standard time returns for most people across the country. It means an extra hour of sleep, perchance to dream, for one night.

The shift means it's lighter earlier in the morning, and darkness comes sooner in the evening.

School children could be a little safer standing along streets and roads waiting for buses.

It's also the time safety folks suggest you check the batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.
