Raymond Emerson Reynolds, 65 of Gandeeville

Raymond Emerson Reynolds, 65 of Gandeeville, West Virginia died at home October 7, 2018 surrounded by his loved ones, from complications related to lung cancer.

He was born on July 21, 1953 in Roane County West Virginia a son of the late Virgil "Big Chew" and Ruby Reynolds. Raymond was a carpenter, a former member of the Gandeeville-Harmony Volunteer Fire Department, avid hunter, fisherman and a Deacon at the Vista Church in Kenna, West Virginia.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Helen Jones, two brothers: Virgil Leon and James Keith Reynolds; a daughter-in-law Jill Reynolds and a grandson Kenneth Cody Harris.

He is survived by the love of his life Jean Kay Reynolds whom he married December 20, 1975; sons: Eric Chaney (Candice) of LeRoy, West Virginia; Rodney Reynolds (Renita) of Spencer, West Virginia; daughter, Marcie Chaney of Gandeeville; seven adopted children; Sara, Summer, Hunter, Hannah, Avery, Henry and Jacob; foster children: Angie, Beth, Stasha and Summer; 15 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; sisters: Peggy Sue, Sherri, Becky, Alice and Linda and a brother Robert "Bob" Lee Reynolds. Raymond also shared guardianship with his wife of Chase and CW. He is also survived by his dear friend Harvey Angel who he thought of as a father.

Services will be at 3:00 pm Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at the Mt. Herman Community Church with Pastor Ronnie Kennedy officiating. Burial will follow in the Reynolds Cemetery at the end of the Mt. Herman Cemetery. Visiting will be two hours prior to the service at the church.

Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer, West Virginia is in charge of the arrangements.
