Leona B. Sears, 84 of Chloe

Leona B. Sears, 84 of Chloe, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 06, 2018, at Hubbard Hospice House West, South Charleston, while surrounded by her loving family.

She was born September 20, 1934 at Oka, a daughter of the late Samuel B. and Monie M. Burns Conley.

Leona attended the Minnora United Methodist Church, and loved traveling and spending time with family. She was also a fantastic cook.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell Sears; son, Stephen Sears; daughter, Cheryl Fross; brothers, Robert and Harlan; and sisters, Norma and Merle.

Survivors include a son, Michael "Mick" Sears of Chloe; daughter-in-law, Michele Sears of Chloe; granddaughters, Rebecca McClung and husband Jay of Belington, Rachel Sears and significant other, John Swift of Alexandria VA, and Julie Sears and significant other Jim Moneypenny of Mt. Zion. She is also survived by great granddaughters, Autumn McClung and Emily Sears; and a sister-in-law, Alice Conley.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 am, Tuesday, October 9, at John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer. Burial will follow in the Cooper Cemetery at Chloe. Visitation will be one hour prior to the time of service.
