Gerald Glen Smith, 71, of Grantsville, WV died, as a result of a heart attack, Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at his residence.

He was born January 16, 1947 in Calhoun County, WV, the son of late Paul and Opal Dolly Snyder Smith.

He was a great father and grandfather.

He is survived by his children, Tony Smith of Big Bend, WV and Ellen Smith of Charleston, WV and step-daughters, Betty Reisinger of Big Bend, and Shirley Lamp of Grantsville. He had five grandchildren, Nevaeh Houston of Charleston, WV; Riva Tanner of Big Bend, Walter Wilson of Grantsville, and Joseph and James Beck of New Jersey.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his two sisters, Boots Yoak and Nancy Smith and his son Michael Smith.

A funeral service will be held at Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc., Grantsville, WV on Friday, October 5, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Alfred Hickman officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. Interment will be in McCray Cemetery.
