Special Weather Statement: Braxton; Calhoun; Gilmer; Lewis; Roane Some localized flooding has been reported Wednesday in Calhoun with the ground super saturated. A LINE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL AFFECT SOUTHEASTERN CALHOUN... GILMER...LEWIS...BRAXTON AND SOUTHEASTERN ROANE COUNTIES... At 425 PM EDT, radar indicated strong thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 8 miles north of Glenville to near Wallback. Movement was east at 25 mph. Winds in excess of 40 mph are possible with these storms. Locations impacted include Weston, Glenville, Sutton, Gassaway, Jackson Mill, Stonewall Jackson, Cedar Creek State Park, Burnsville, Jane Lew, Flatwoods, Sand Fork, Shock, Rosedale, Little Birch, Alum Bridge, Camden, Frametown, Strange Creek, Wilsie and Baldwin. These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio stations and available television stations for additional information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
