Geneva Lea Sturm, 91, formerly of Calhoun

Geneva Lea Sturm, 91, passed away in her sleep Wednesday September 19, 2018.

She was born in Calhoun County, the daughter of the late Cousby Stutler and Ela Gibson. She attended Calhoun High School and worked at Calhoun General Hospital.

She was active in establishing Victory Baptist Church. She stayed active with the church until moving to live with her daughter in Las Vegas, NV and then Bakersfield, CA.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry L. Sturm, and 5 aunts and uncles.

Geneva is survived by her sister Doris Ellyson (Hale), daughter Rebecca Engelke (Robert), two grandchildren Jason Butt and Erika Delamar, five great grandchildren Chelsea Butt, Kaitlyn Butt, Shane Butt, Kristyn Delamar, Taylen Butt and one great-great granddaughter, Tinsleigh Rice.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday September 29, at Victory Baptist Church. Interment will be in Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation is at 12:00 p.m. until the time of service.

Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc., Grantsville is assisting the Sturm family with final arrangements.
