Dormal Jean (Jarvis) Dobbins Ewing, 80, died peacefully at Miletree Center, Spencer, WV on Monday Sept. 17, 2018.

She was surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 24, 1938 at Orma, WV, the daughter of the late Tollie and Mary Jarvis.

Dormal was a homemaker and loving mother and grandmother. Surviving are her children Terry and Jeanette Dobbins of Wilson, NC; Deborah and Alvin Parsons Of Arnoldsburg, WV; Rodney And Deborah Dobbins of Wilson, NC; Jeffery Dobbins And Cammie Tallman Of Orma, WV; Steve Dobbins Of Orma, WV; and Mitchell And Robin Dobbins of Mt Zion, WV; 2 brothers, Eddie Jarvis of Mt. Zion, IL and Fred Jarvis of Millstone, WV; one sister, Eveyln Etling of Barberton, OH; 18 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, and multiple nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her former husband Arnold Dobbins, Jr and her husband Thomas W. Ewing; three daughters Angela Kay Dobbins, Katherine Elizabeth Dobbins and Sherry Ann Nichols and one grandson Christopher Alvin Parsons; two brothers Donald Jarvis and Virgil Jarvis; three sisters Flossie Louise Jarvis, Marie Vanhorn and Geneva McKee.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Rick Metheney officiating. Visitation will be 11:00 to 1:00 at Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc., Arnoldsburg, WV. Interment will be in Minnora Cemetery.
