RAYMOND "BOONE" GREATHOUSE - Amma

Raymond Boone Greathouse, 58, of Amma, Roane County, West Virginia, died Friday, January 24, at his home.

He was born January 8, 19 45, in Roane County, a son of the late John Raymond and Elsie Faye Jett Greathouse. He was a heavy equipment operator for Danny Webb Construction, Brenton. He was an Army veteran of the Viet Nam War.

Survivors include his wife, Freda Huffman Greathouse of Amma; sons, Raymond Greathouse, III of Looneyville, WV and Michael Huffman of Parkersburg, WV; daughters, Renita Allen of Spencer, WV and Faye Edens of Newton, WV; brothers, Edward N. Greathouse of Spencer, Richard Greathouse of Newton and Charles "Bill" Greathouse of Looneyville; sisters, Ruby Rogers of Newton, Charlotte Goodrich of Sand Ridge, WV and Cathy Wilson of Looneyville; seven grandsons and one granddaughter.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Glen Greathouse; sisters, Betty Jo Holland, Doris Church and Carolyn Miller.

A funeral service will be conducted Sunday, January 26 at 2 p.m. in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home,Spencer, with the Rev. J Herbert Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Clover Cemetery, Clover. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday
