Shirley Ann Jones, 80 of Tumbling Run Road, Burnsville, WV (Gilmer County) departed this life to be with her Lord and Savior on the morning of Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at her daughters residence surrounded by her loving family. Born March 28, 1938 in Barbour County, WV; Shirley is the daughter of the late Howard L. and Susie E. Corbin Love.Shirley was a homemaker and housekeeper who loving caring for her family. In her spare time, she enjoyed working with multiple styles of crafts, spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whenever possible, and singing with her family. Shirley was a Christian by faith and member of the Jennings Run Church of God, where she was a song leader for many years. She also attended the 1st Baptist Church of Burnsville on occasion. On October 14, 1955 Shirley was united in Marriage to Paul Edward Jones, who survives at their Tumbling Run home. Surviving are 4 children, Susan Persinger (Jacky) of Sand Fork, WV; Mary Jones of Sand Fork, Wm. "Howard" Jones of Craigsville, WV; and Charles Jones of New Martinsville, WV; 3 siblings, Carl Love of Fairmont, Orvetta Dixon of Independence, WV; Etta Lantz of Fairmont. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren, Tina Persinger, Merissa "Missy" O'Donnell (Chad Rock), John Persinger (Alisha), Joshua Jones (Melodie), Courtney, Aaron and Caleb Jones, Katlyn Drabnis (Aaron), and 11 great-grandchildren, JJ and Douglas O'Donnell, Jacob Persinger, Lucas Ward, Camden Drabnis, Aiden Rosas, Garrus Jones, Kyle, Paige, Ian, and Jett Persinger, and 1 great-grandson, Rowan who is due to arrive in October 2018. Along with her parents, Shirley is preceded in death by 8 siblings, Dale, Maynard, Oliver, Billy, and Junior Love, Helen Nelson, Betty Dean, and Mary Hicks. A funeral Service was held at the Ellyson Mortuary, Inc. 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville, WV Saturday, September 8, 2018 with Rev. Martin Wine officiating. Burial was in the Boilon Cemetery near Copley, WV. Ellyson Mortuary, Inc is honored to assist the family of Shirley Ann Jones with arrangements.
