ROUGH WEEK FOR CALHOUN LAW ENFORCEMENT - Waning Of Full Moon

It has been the waning of a full moon kind of week in Calhoun for law enforcement.

Calhoun EMS responded to Calhoun-Gilmer Career Center Friday morning to an alleged overdose of a 17-year-old student who arrived at the school, reportedly over dosing on multiple bottles of cough syrup. He was taken to Minnie Hamilton Health System. Sheriff Jeff Starcher responded to the incident.

State Police responded to a late night call about women in road just East of Grantsville, but failed to locate her on arrival.

Friday 911 received a call about a man reclining on State Route 5 just West of the Gilmer County line.

State Police and the Calhoun Sheriffs Department responded earlier in the week to a person crawling under a house on Meadow Run, unable to locate a suspect.

State Police are investigating the theft of a money jar and possibly other objects on Crooked Run.

The Sheriffs Department responded to a "wandering" suspicious person at Big Bend Friday evening.
