Eugene "Beanie" Benear, 82, of Spencer

Eugene "Beanie" Benear, 82, of Spencer, West Virginia died August 26, 2018 at the Roane General Hospital in Spencer.

He was born May 6, 1936 in Spencer a son of the late Burl and Vernie Nichols Benear. He worked in the timber and as a pipeliner.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Waggoner Benear; one daughter, Tiffany Dawn (Bobby) Shafer of Walton, West Virginia; two sons, Michael Eugene (Kathy) Benear of Ohio, and Timothy Allen (Ruby) Benear of Clover, West Virginia; one step-daughter, Kelly Mae (Keith) Durhm of North Carolina; two step-sons, Michael Brian (Sherrie) Wilson of Spencer, and Ricky Allen (Dawn) Wilson of Flatwoods, West Virginia; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Vicky Lynn Benear; two sons, Christopher Eugene and James Benear; one granddaughter, Patricia Kelly; one great-granddaughter, Makayla Hoopes; and several brothers and sisters.

Per his request, the body was cremated and there will be no service or visitation. His ashes will be buried in the Otto Cemetery, Spencer.
