WV KNIFE AND GUN CLUB - Wild Love Knifing

(08/19/2018)
WILD LOVE KNIFING - Nitro police have arrested the man they said stabbed two people Friday night.

It happened around 10:45 p.m. on 9th Street.

Jeremy Triplett faces two counts of malicious wounding after he "viciously" stabbed Danny Terry and Zach Chandler with a four-inch hunting knife, according to Chief Bobby Eggleton of the Nitro Police Department. Eggleton said it appears Triplett was trying to kick in the door of an ex-girlfriend's house when Terry and Chandler intervened.

One of the men was stabbed four times in the back, said Eggleton, and the other suffered a "severe" laceration to his arm.

Terry and Chandler were taken to CAMC, according to 911 officials. There is no word on their conditions at this time.

Triplett was arrested and was scheduled to be arraigned Saturday morning in Kanawha County Magistrate Court. The magistrate's office said Triplett was uncooperative.

ASSAULT - Two Beckley, West Virginia men are accused of sexually assaulting a woman at gunpoint in Beckley.

The Register-Herald reports 46-year-old Timothy Darnell Harris Jr. and 50-year-old Michael Brent Ritter were arrested this week on charges including sexual assault and conspiracy.

Criminal complaints say the victim told Beckley police she was walking home Saturday night when the two men forced her into a wooded area and assaulted her for hours, telling her that "all women deserve to be raped."

Police reports say she made it home and called 911. Her descriptions enabled officers to arrest the men in a traffic stop. She positively identified them and was then taken to a hospital for a sexual assault evaluation.

Harris and Ritter were held on $100,000 bail.
