Charles W. "Charlie" Gandee, 56, of Walton

Charles W. "Charlie" Gandee, 56, of Walton, West Virginia, passed away on Monday, August 13, 2018 at Charleston Area Medical Center's Memorial Division in Charleston, West Virginia.

He was born May 3, 1962 in Norfolk, Virginia, a son of Reanwin Lewis Gandee and the late Kenneth Carl Gandee.

He was a former semi truck driver, pilot car driver and supervisor at G4S Security. He was an avid hunter and trapper, loved his family dearly, was an EMT and fireman at the Walton Volunteer Fire Department and a veteran of the U. S. Army and U. S. Army Reserves.

In addition to his mother, Charlie is survived by his fiancee, Diana Kersey; two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Stacy Murray and Joshua and Alex Murray; nieces and nephews, Angela, Kristin, Paul, and James; a sister, Diane Taylor; two brothers, David and Shannon Gandee and Alan and Fiona Lewis; and eleven grandchildren.

Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer, West Virginia, with Pastor Dennis Morgan officiating. Burial will follow at the family farm in Walton. Visiting will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral Home.

After the graveside service, everyone is invited to Charlie and Diana's house for a celebration of life and a meal.
