TANNER SENTENCED IN SEX ABUSE OF GIRL SCOUT

A former Calhoun man charged with fondling a 12-year-old girl at a Girl Scout meeting in Roane County, and exchanging explicit photos, has pled guilty to two charges. Keith Allen Tanner, 35, of Spencer, pled guilty to a felony charge of distribution of obscene material to a minor and possession of child erotica, a misdemeanor. Tanner waived his right to a pre-sentence investigation and asked to be sentenced immediately. Judge Anita Ashley ordered him spend 200 days for the misdemeanor in regional jail, with 191 days already served, followed by five years on the felony charge.
