He was born May 25, 1975 in Lexington, Ky., the son of Gary and Mary Duncan Harper of Walton.

Christopher was a maintenance base manager for Piedmont Airlines. He was a graduate of the Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics, where he earned his degree in aviation maintenance. Christopher was also a 1993 graduate of Walton High School. His hobbies included golf, hunting and the outdoors, as well as traveling.

In addition to his parents, survivors include his wife, Deana; daughters, Casey Love America of Port St. Lucie, Florida. and Ariana Rose Thornton of Salisbury, Maryland; stepdaughter, Amie Thornton of Parsonsburg, Maryland; brother, Vincent Harper of Charleston, West Virginia; paternal grandmother, Clista Harper of Walton, West Virginia.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Carl Charles Harper; maternal grandparents, Elmer Estes and Louise Josephine Duncan.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 12 at the Mt. Moriah Cemetery, Walton, with the Rev. Jerry Board officiating. The visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer.
