| Mary Miller Yoak, 71, of Waterford, Ohio, died on Monday, July 23, 2018 at Muskingum Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation in Beverly.
She was born on August 21, 1946 in Big Bend, WV, daughter of Roy and Stella Metts Miller. She had worked at the Fairview Manor Nursing Home in Beverly for 20 years. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Waterford. Mary enjoyed vegetable gardening and flower gardening and had over 100 rose plants.
She was married on February 10, 1963 to Denver D. Yoak who survives. Also surviving are two children, Carla Arnold and husband Brett of Waterford and James M. Yoak and wife Nancy of Bradensburg, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Samantha Ann Arnold of Waterford, Frank Arnold and wife Samantha Leigh of Jacksonville, NC and Connor Yoak of Potomac, Illinois; one great granddaughter, Brooklyn Arnold of Jacksonville, NC; a brother, John Miller and wife Helen of Prestonsburg, Kentucky; three sisters, Ginny Miller and husband Carroll of Wooster, Ohio, Darleen Lott and husband Dale of Williamstown, WV and Tina Jones and husband Olen of Five Forks, WV; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Stella Lucille McCoy and Carolyn Sue Ray.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly with Pastor Karl Kesselring officiating. Burial will be in the Waterford Cemetery.
