Sheriff Jeff Starcher responded to two separate
accidents on Rt. 16 Wednesday at the very same spot

Two crashes occurred in the very same spot on Rt. 16 near the Clay County line Wednesday.

The driver of a pick-up truck lost control near the Rt. 16-Hunt Road intersection at 4 p.m. Wednesday.

The truck landed on its top, the driver was not injured.

Responding was Calhoun EMS, the Upper West Fork VFD and Sheriff Jeff Starcher.

In the first crash, a woman received what was reported to be minor head injuries after her vehicle crashed at 9:50 a.m. Wednesday.

She was taken to a Charleston hospital.

Calhoun EMS and the Upper West Fork VFD responded, with Sheriff Jeff Starcher investigating.

Responders went to Annamoriah Creek where a woman was injured in a riding tractor accident at 6:30 pm Tuesday.
