Luie Mae Griffith, 66, of Spencer

Luie Mae Griffith, 66, of Spencer, died July 12, 2018, at the Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston, after an extended illness.

She was born June 13, 1952 at Beech, Calhoun County, a daughter of the late Andy Osie and Ethel Marie Elswick Duncan.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Griffith; and brother, George Duncan.

Survivors include a daughter, Sarah Harris of Spencer; Matthew Duncan of Levittown, Penn.; stepsons, Bryan Griffith of Vienna and Steven Griffith of Hopedale, Ohio; brothers, Charles Duncan of Spencer and Ollie Duncan of Calhoun County; sister, Lena Moneypenny of South Carolina; grandson, Dacoda Blake of Spencer; granddaughters, Nevada Harris of Spencer and Courtney Duncan of Pennsylvania.

Luie was 14 year employee of Westbrook Health Services Roane County Office, Spencer.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 15 at the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Jack Roberts officiating. Burial will be in the Clover Cemetery, Clover.

The visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, July 14 at the funeral home.
