Glenn S. Hanlin, 74, of Chloe

Glenn S. Hanlin, 74, of Chloe, WV, passed away on June 26, 2018 at Hampshire Center, Romney, WV.

He was born to Austin and Ruth Hanlin on December 6th, 1943 in Beryl, WV.

  Glenn Hanlin was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Connie L. Hanlin, and his brother John Hanlin.

He is survived by his sisters Mary Carnell and Loretta Reel of New Creek WV; four children, James Hanlin of Anchorage AK, Michael Hanlin of Clarksburg WV, Pamela Bowen of Jonesboro AR, and Heather Hanlin-Grogg of Winston-Salem NC; seven surviving grandchildren, Jesse Hanlin, Joshua Hanlin, Noah Hanlin, Chance Bowen, Chloe Bowen, Aden Morton, and Ella Morton.

Glenn Hanlin was a former member of the Marine Corp, a talented wood craftsman and builder. He served as a County Commissioner for Calhoun County WV.  Glenn was the Superintendent of Roads in Calhoun County, and retired from the WV Department of Highways after 17 years.   He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and will be dearly missed.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc., Arnoldsburg, WV, with Pastor Daniel Tanner officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Saturday. Interment will be in Lamb Cemetery.
