Gary Dale Jarvis, 74, of Chloe, passed away on July 28, 2018 at his home.Gary was born at Minnora to Calvin (Cal) Jarvis and Grace (Bailey) Jarvis on June 23, 1944. He went to school in Calhoun County. He worked as an operator for Houchin Construction and Bruce Allen Inc. for many years. He loved to farm, raise a garden, and hunt. He was a great man who loved his family. Gary is preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Cecil Ray Jarvis, Dessie Pearl Jett, Maysel Lucille (Stalnaker) Badgett, Olive (Happy) Grace DeWeese, Rilma Paulene Keaton, Paris (Bruce) Jarvis, Carl Bernard Jarvis, Geneva Edith Badgett, Nell DeWeese, Calvin (Curt) Jarvis, Wilma Mae DeWeese; parents Cal and Grace Jarvis; daughter Sharon Kay Jarvis. Gary is survived by companion Mary Hardman; children, Sam Jarvis (Connie) of Chloe, Terry Fowler (Denny) of Glendale, Randall Jarvis (Judy) of Spencer, Gary Wayne Jarvis (Chris) of Chloe; siblings, Alma (Madeline) DeWeese of Little Creek, Bonnie Lee Ellison of Chloe, Charles (Bill) Jarvis of Chloe, and Charter Brice Jarvis of Chloe; grandchildren, Samantha, Melissa, Monica, Kari, Kourtney, Skyler, Martha, Grace, Calvin, David, and Dakota; great-grandchildren, Alex, Jaylen, Brianna, Kenlie, Paislie, Logan, Marcus, Mason, Kayleigh, Andria, Duke, Jayla and Jessie. Visitation will be 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. for Family and 12 p.m. - 1 p.m. for public at Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc. in Arnoldsburg on Monday, July 2, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on July 2, 2018 at Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc. in Arnoldsburg with Evangelist Steve Boggs officiating.
