RISING HIGH: CMS STUDENTS PLACE 4TH IN NATION AT TSA NATIONAL CONFERENCE

Calhoun County Schools Superintendent, Kelli Whytsell has announced Calhoun Middle School Technology Student Association members placed 4th in the nation in Invention and Innovations, during the final round of competition at the Atlanta Conference.

Whytsell said, "This is an amazing accomplishment for the first year of having a TSA team. Congratulations to Christeena Craddock, Pepper McCormick, and Lindsey Schoolcraft for your success. We would also like to congratulate Pepper McCormick for placing 9 in the nation for Promotional Marketing."

"Thanks to Mr. and Mrs. McCormick for working with these students. I am so proud of the students, teachers, and parents for supporting our students and allowing them to excel. My understanding is that this is the highest any team from WV has placed," said Whytsell.

The class is offered to all middle and high school students as part of the 21st Century Grant. Interested students are encouraged to sign up for the class and the opportunities that TSA offers them.

Three Calhoun Middle School Technology Student Association members are competing at the TSA National Conference this week in Atlanta, Georgia.

Semi Finalists results were announced Saturday for Inventions & Innovations (T5331-1) and Promotional Marketing (S0670) the young ladies finalized in BOTH events. The students competed in the final round of these two competitions on Sunday. The results will be announced when they become available.

Congratulations to Christeena Craddock, Pepper McCormick, and Lindsey Schoolcraft for making it to the Final Round.
