CABELL SHOOTING - Cabell County deputies are searching for a suspect after they say two people were shot and one child injured early Wednesday morning.

Deputies and Barboursville police are looking for Jeremy Bartram, 29, of Barboursville after they say he fired several rounds in to a home about 3:45 a.m. on Williamsburg Drive.

Cabell County Sheriff Chuck Zerkle believes that Bartram was targeting his estranged girlfriend whom he has a child with. She was not home at the time of the shooting, Zerkle said.

The sheriff said Vicky Emerick, 58, and Casey Emerick, 24, both were shot and a 7-year-old child got a superficial wound from shrapnel. All three were taken to the hospital.

Sheriff deputies say they found Bartram's truck in a field a short distance away from the home and have bloodhounds out searching for him.

Deputies said there were four other children in the home at the time of the shooting. None of them were injured.
