Susie Lou "Granny" Dotson age 74 of Orient, Ohio, departed this life on Monday, June 11, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.
Born February 17, 1944 in Braxton County, Susie is the daughter of the late Hubert L. and Laura Riffle.
Sue was a homemaker who loved to care for her family. In her spare time, Sue enjoyed watching cooking shows on TV, spending time with family and friends, working puzzle books, making crafts, going to yard sales, relaxing on the front porch of her house, and spoiling her grandchildren whenever possible.
Surviving are 5 children, Lewis K. Dotson (Leann) of Grove City, OH; Kade and Rondal Youmans both of Pennsicola, FL; Denice Ledbetter of Orient, OH; and Melinda Clegg of Vienna, WV; 3 siblings, Jean Leggett, Mary Kelly (Gene), and Richard Freeman (Sue) all of Burnsville, WV; 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Along with her parents and husband, Sue is preceded in death by her former husband, Max Dotson.
A funeral service will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary, Inc 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville, WV at 1:00 p.m. Saturday June 16, 2018 with Pastor Bryan Groves officiating. Burial will follow in the Heater Cemetery near Orlando, WV. Friends will be received from 11-1 Saturday at the mortuary in Glenville.
