OFFICER ELKINS RECEIVES COMMENDATION - Resigning From County Sheriff's Office

(06/14/2018)

L-R: Sheriff Jeff Starcher, Officer Jason Elkins
and County Commission President Kevin Helmick

Calhoun County Home Confinement Officer Jason Elkins received a certificate of commendation on June 11th from Calhoun County Commission President Kevin Helmick and Sheriff Jeff Starcher. The commendation was awarded to Officer Elkins in recognition of his outstanding service and dedication to the Confinement Operations Division of the Calhoun County Sheriff's Office.

Officer Elkins will be resigning from his position on Friday, June 15, for other employment. Elkins has dutifully served Calhoun County in the capacities of Chief Confinement Officer and Deputy Sheriff since January 1, 2017.

Sheriff Jeff Starcher stated, "Since his inception, Officer Elkins has been an invaluable asset to the Confinement Operations Division, and to the Calhoun County Sheriff's Office. He was my right arm, I could always count on Jason. There were times where it was just me and him. We worked many long nights and countless hours together. We will greatly miss Jason, but we wish him the best of luck in his new employment as he tries to better himself and his family."

The Calhoun County Commission will be naming a new Home Confinement Officer.
