(06/05/2018)
Judge Craig Tatterson held Circuit Court in Calhoun County on May 31, with actions against two people, according to prosecutor Shannon Johnson.

Leon Kerby was sentenced to one to five years in the state penitentiary for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender, a felony. He was remanded to the custody of the Department of Corrections.

Phillip Knicely appeared for sentencing. The court placed the defendant on one year supervised probation for Forgery, a Felony, and to Larceny of Bank Notes, a Misdemeanor.

Knicely's probation will begin upon his release from incarceration on pending charges from Braxton County. He was given credit for two hundred seventeen days served and was ordered to pay restitution to the victim of $216.57.

The Court also heard two juvenile cases.
