SHERIFF RESPONDS TO MAN PASSED OUT WITH GUN ON A PORCH

Calhoun Sheriff Jeff Starcher responded at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday to a 911 call on Rt. 16 south of Grantsville, near the former EMS building, to a report of individual passed out on a porch with a weapon.

Sheriff Starcher secured the weapon. a compact semi-automatic pistol, and taken into custody on a previous warrant was Anthony Marks.

State policeman Cpl. J. B. Hunt also responded to the scene.

Calhoun 911 had a busy Wednesday morning, a call about a goose with a broken wing and a verbal argument.
