INDICTMENTS IN STEVENS MURDER CASE - Others Indicted In Separate Shootings

THIRTEEN GRAND JURY INDICTMENTS

A Calhoun Grand Jury indicted four suspects in the 2017 murder of Eugene Stevens.

The Grand Jury convened Tuesday with Prosecutor Shannon Johnson making the presentments before Judge Anita Ashley.

Jamie Lee Miller, 31, Evan Lee Hersman, 30, Travis Sheldon Boggs, 26, and Heather Davis, 27, were indicted on Murder, a felony; Robbery, 1st Degree, a felony; and two counts of Conspiracy, a felony. Jamie Lee Miller, Evan Lee Hersman, and Heather Davis were indicted on Arson, 3rd Degree, a felony; Destruction of Property, a felony; and two counts of Conspiracy, a felony. Jamie Lee Miller was also indicted on Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, a felony.

The case was investigated by Sr. Trooper T. D. McFeeley of the West Virginia State Police.

The Grand Jury indicted two people related to the shooting of Joshua Hardman, 28, on Back Fork Road in March.

Jason Gene McVey, 31, and Chanelle Shardee Cottrell, 27, were indicted on Attempted Murder, a felony; and Malicious Assault, a felony. Chanelle Shardee Cottrell was also indicted for Harboring, Concealing, Maintaining, or Assisting Principal Felon After the Fact, a felony.

This case was investigated by Sgt. C. J. Weekley of the West Virginia State Police.

Thomas Warren Cain, 52, was indicted on Malicious Assault, a felony. This case was investigated by Corporal Raynor of the West Virginia State Police.

Cain is accused of shooting Scott Butler near Chloe in December, 2017.

OTHER INDICTMENTS

John Tate Klapka, 47, was indicted on one count of Concealment of a Minor Child, a felony. This case was investigated by 1st Sgt O. S. Starsick of the West Virginia State Police.

Bobby Jess Blosser, 28, was indicted on one count of Failure to Meet an Obligation to Provide Support for a Minor, a felony. This case was investigated by April Chapman of the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources Bureau for Child Support Enforcement.

Angela M. Yoak, 33, was indicted on one count of Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, a felony. This case was investigated by Corporal Blevins of the West Virginia State Police.

Melissa Sue West, 40, was indicted on Grand Larceny, a felony; and Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, a felony. This case was investigated by Sr. Trooper T. D. McFeeley of the West Virginia State Police.

Henry Earl Stutler, Jr., 26, was indicted on Possession by Prohibited Person of a Firearm, a felony; two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, a Misdemeanor; Attempted Burglary, a felony; and Trespass, a Misdemeanor. This case was investigated by Sgt. C. J. Weekley and Senior Trooper David Moore of the West Virginia State Police.

Heather Davis, 27, was indicted on Possession by Prohibited Person of a Firearm, a felony; two counts Possession with Intent to Deliver and Delivery of a Controlled Substance, a felony; and one count Possession with Intent to Deliver and Delivery of a Controlled Substance. This case was investigated by Deputy Jason Elkins of the Calhoun County Sheriff's Office.

Jason Conrad, 38, was indicted on 4 counts Possession with Intent to Deliver and Delivery of a Controlled Substance, a felony. This case was investigated by Sheriff J. S. Starcher of the Calhoun County Sheriff's Office.

Indictments returned against individuals are merely charges at this time and are not indications of guilt. All the above Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
