MISSING MAN FOUND DEAD IN GILMER COUNTY - Tyler Man Drove Away Last Sunday

The body of a 71-year-old Tyler County man who was reported missing was found Tuesday near Linn in Gilmer County. Loren K. Archer was found near his pick-up truck, according to a release from the Tyler County Sheriff's Department. Archer drove from his Middlebourne home about noon Sunday in an unknown direction of travel, according to his son, former Charleston resident Brent Archer. The elder Archer had a medical condition that left him confused and disoriented, according to his son. The body was taken from the Stump Funeral Home in Grantsville to the state medical examiner's office in South Charleston.
