WV KNIFE AND GUN CLUB - Domestic Shooting

(05/15/2018)
WOMAN SHOOTS AT HUSBAND - West Virginia State Police say a wife is now in jail after shooting at her husband who was in bed.

Troopers say it happened around 11:30 p.m. Sunday on Parsons Branch in Fort Gay.

They arrested Jamie Lee Kitts, 50, on wanton endangerment and domestic assault charges.

According to state troopers, the two got in an argument and Kitts got a revolver and shot at her husband.

He wasn't injured.

Kitts is now in the Western Regional Jail.

MAN FIRES SHOTS - A man in Putnam County was arrested on two counts of attempted murder after deputies said he fired shots at two people inside a car.

Thomas J. Sowards of Hurricane was arrested Saturday, jail records said. Deputies said he is accused of shooting at two people in an argument over child custody issues and Child Protective Services getting involved.

It happened Friday on Sycamore Road in Hurricane as the couple who was shot at were there to pick up the children. The couple drove to the Hurricane Police Department where officers found three holes in the car from the bullets.

Deputies said Sowards took off from the home before police could arrest him, but he was taken into custody over the weekend.

Sowards is being held at the Western Regional Jail on a $100,000 cash only bond.
