BRAXTON DEATH INVESTIGATED AS SUSPICIOUS

A woman's death in Sutton is being investigated as suspicious, West Virginia State Police say. Ruth Ann Westfall, 53, died during the weekend after an incident at a motel on Sutton Lane. Troopers say the incident happened Saturday. EMS crews found Westfall unresponsive at the motel. She was lying in the floor and barely breathing when they arrived. Troopers say Westfall was given Narcan and taken to Braxton County Memorial Hospital. She was later transferred to CAMC where she died Sunday. Results of the autopsy are expected as soon as Tuesday.
