GRANTSVILLE FIREMEN ASSIST RITCHIE WITH FOREST FIRE

The Grantsville Volunteer Fire Department assisted Ritchie County in fighting a forest fire Wednesday evening. The fire was in an area known as Leatherbark, off State Rt. 16 near Smithville. Firemen were dispatched about 4 p.m. and remained on the scene for about six hours. Fire crews in Jackson County have been fighting a 400 acre woods fire.
