Harles "Bud" Hicks, 62, of Spencer

Harles "Bud" Hicks, 62, of Spencer, died April 29, 2018 at home, after a short illness.

He was born October 21, 1955 at Zanesville, Ohio, a son of the late Darris and Arlena Stump Hicks.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother.

Bud grew up in Calhoun County. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his grandsons.

He worked construction. He was a former employee of Kellwood and Spencer Veneer, both of Spencer.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Karen Drake Hicks; son, Rodney and Casey of Spencer; stepdaughter, Pam and Ronnie of Martinsburg; grandsons, Mason and Aiden Hicks of Spencer; step granddaughters, Tasha and Matt, D.J. and Corey of Martinsburg; step great grandchildren, Nicholas and Camela of Martinsburg; brother, Dorel and Barb of Chloe; sister, Loraine and Kevin of Chloe; sister-in-law, Judy and Jim Groves of Orma.

Per Bud's request, there will be no visitation or service.

John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, is in charge of arrangements.
