Janet Gherke and Judy Brannon, representing the Grantsville Volunteer Fire Department, presented Pleasant Hill Elementary School with two Stop the Bleed kits on April 26.
Through a fundraiser by the GVFD, donations from Dominion, local churches, Calhoun Banks and others, Stop the Bleed kits were purchased for all schools in Calhoun County.
Trudi Anderson, Calhoun County School Nurse, was instrumental in arranging training for Pleasant Hill staff. In the event of an incident, staff members are prepared to use the kits for a potentially life-saving situation.
