(04/27/2018)
GUNFIRE - Huntington police said a man is facing charges after firing a gun at a vehicle and home in two separate incidents.

Gregory A. Adkins, 63, of Branchland was charged with six counts of wanton endangerment, according to criminal complaints filed in Cabell County Magistrate Court.

Police said it happened Monday when a man reported hearing two gunshots and found his vehicle had been struck by a bullet in the 600 block of Seventh Street. Police said they were able to use security video from a nearby business to capture the suspect's vehicle pull onto the lot where the firearm was discharges.

Police said two hours later at about 5:45 p.m., several shots were fired into a home in the 6400 block of Madison Creek Road in Salt Rock. Police said at least five shots passed through the home. Police do not indicate any injuries as a result of the shooting in the criminal complaint. Police said it correlated with the previous shooting.

Adkins was taken to the Western Regional Jail and cash only bond was set at $1 million.
