Betty "Elaine" Perrin, 87, of New Concord, Ohio formerly of Cox's Mills, WV (Newberne Community) departed this earthly life on April 24, 2018 at the Beckett House Nursing Facility in New Concord with her daughter by her side, following an extended illness. Born March 1, 1931 in Tanner, WV; Elaine is the daughter of the late Paris and Gladys Newlon Frymier. Elaine was a graduate of Tanner High School, class of 1948 and later worked at the school, starting as a teachers aid, and later retiring as the school secretary with 20 years experience. In her spare time, Elaine enjoyed living the quiet life in Newberne, spending time with family and friends, and caring for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. On June 4, 1949 Elaine was united in marriage to John David Perrin who preceded her in death on February 8, 2010. Surviving is 1 daughter, Karen Adams and husband Jim of New Concord, OH, 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and 3 siblings, Jack Frymier and wife Roanne of Tanner, Reta Stewart of Jane Lew, and Merceline Bennett also of Tanner. Along with her parents and husband, Elaine is preceded in death by 1 son, Robert "Cowboy Bob" Perrin, and 4 siblings, Robert "Bob" and William "Bill" Frymier, Maxine Gumm, and Carolyn Amos. A funeral service will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary, Inc 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville, WV 26351 at 2:00 PM; Saturday April 28, 2018 with Pastor Bill Hunt officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery in Berea, WV. Friends will be received from 12-2 Saturday at the mortuary. In leiu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to the Pine Grove Cemetery in Berea in Elaine's honor. |
