SECOND CALHOUN STUDENT RECEIVES GOLDEN HORSESHOE - Chase Blair Awarded 2018 Golden Horseshoe

5/5/2018 - The Charleston Gazette reported today that a second Calhoun student has been awarded a WV Golden Horseshoe.

Lindsey Posey of Little Kanawha Valley Christian Academy at Big Bend has also received the recognition at a Charleston Ceremony.

4/26/2018 - Chase Blair, 8th grade student in Miss Jennifer Sang's WV History Class is the Calhoun Middle School Golden Horseshoe Award Winner for 2018.

He will be knighted Knight of the Golden Horseshoe in Charleston.

Chase is the 14 year old son of Elmer and Pamela Blair.

He enjoys playing basketball and fishing. He enjoys history, but his favorite subject is Math. His future plans include going to college, hopefully Marshall, and becoming a pharmacist.
