Three Grantsville residents have already filed for municipal offices, according to the town office.
Incumbent Gladys P. Cain has filed for re-election to council, in addition to newcomer Charlie Whipkey.
Current Town Recorder Phelma Jane Wease, who was appointed to the position, is now running for the slot.
Filing for mayor, five council seats and recorder is open until January 25.
