FIREMEN RESPOND TO FOREST FIRE ON COAL FORK ROAD

A forest fire was reported on Coal Fork Rd. off State Rt. 16 just north of the Calhoun line. The Grantsville VFD was dispatched to assist the Smithville VFD and the Harrisville VFD at 12:49 p.m., but was advised to return to station saying they had the blaze under control. Firemen said the fire was started by a downed power line. Part of Coal Fork Road is in Calhoun County,
