(04/11/2018)
FAYETTE WOMAN ARRESTED - A Fayette County woman has been arrested and charged with malicious wounding after deputies said she bit and cut a man with a knife.

A Fayette County Sheriff's Deputy was called to a home in Fayetteville after a stabbing was reported. When the deputy arrived the victim said he and Bridget Thompson got into a fight and she went "ballistic biscuit" and destroyed everything in the residence.

According to court documents, Thompson bit the victim on the arm and attempted to stab him. The victim did have a cut on his stomach.

The victim was taken to a local hospital and he told deputies Thompson left with another man after the fight.

Thompson was later found and arrested on April 9. She is charged with malicious wounding, destruction of property, capias and domestic battery. She remains in the southern regional jail.

HOTEL ROBBED - A Monongalia County hotel was robbed early Tuesday morning, according to deputies.

The Monongalia County Sheriff's Department said deputies were dispatched to the Comfort Inn off of Grafton Road for an armed robbery at approximately 1:52 a.m.

Deputies interviewed the female clerk and determined that the robber was a black man wearing gloves and a black sweatshirt. He reportedly jumped over the front counter and pointed a small, black handgun at the clerk and demanded money, deputies said.

The clerk complied with the robber's demands, deputies said, and gave him an undisclosed amount of cash from the register. The robber, then, exited the building on foot.
