Rev. Holly B. Dickerson, 93, of Spencer, West Virginia passed away March 25, 2018 at his home after a long illness. Holly was born October 8, 1924 in Spencer to the late Bert and Lona Tanner Dickerson. He was a US Army veteran of WWII serving with the Engineers as a Medical Corpsman in Europe. He was a minister and started preaching at the age of 18. He was a family man and a powerful man of prayer. He attended the Spencer Church of the Nazarene. He loved reading his Bible, singing Gospel songs and spending time with his family. Holly is survived by his wife of 69 years, Dorothy Harris Dickerson; two sons, Holly E. (Judith) Dickerson of Spencer and Gary B. Dickerson of Florida; seven grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by a son; Roger A. Dickerson; granddaughter, Erika J. Westfall; two sisters and one brother.>{? Funeral services will be held at 2p.m. on Friday March 30,2018 at the TAYLOR-VANDALE FUNERAL HOME in Spencer with the Rev. Smith Epling officiating. Burial will be in the Eventide Cemetery in Spencer. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the funeral on Friday.
