Jason Mitchell Nichols, 37, of Spencer

Jason Mitchell Nichols, 37, of Spencer, died Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at his home.

He was born March 8, 1981 at Spencer, the son of Mitchell A. and Deborah S. Rhodes Nichols.

Jason was a pipe liner. He was a 1999 graduate of Roane County High School and a graduate of the Lincoln Welding School, Cleveland, Ohio. Jason was the former owner of J's Pawn Shop, Ripley. He enjoyed hunting and spending time around a campfire with his friends.

In addition to his parents, survivors include his daughter, Alexis Marie Nichols; sister and brother-in-law, Amanda and Allen Kyer; a special niece, Ali Nichole Kyer; maternal grandmother, Bille Nichols.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Waldo Nichols; maternal grandparents, Cecil and Nina Rhodes.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, March 25 at the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with 'Chappie' Linda Nichols McCarty officiating.

There will be a gathering of family and friends from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
