Dalton Reip, Jr., 82

(03/18/2018)
Dalton Reip, Jr. age 82, passed away in his sleep after a short illness on March 16th, 2018.

He was born January 21, 1936, the son of the late Dalton and Vada Reip of Euclid Nicut. He is preceded in death by his companion of sixty years Norma J. Brady Reip, daughter Ellen J. Reip White of Orma, and son in-law Jerry G. McKown of Orma.

Surviving are his daughter Carol (Larry) Pritt, daughter Barbara McKown, son Dalton Lee (Lisa) Reip, 9 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren. He loved being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and football. An avid Calhoun Red Devils fan followed closely by a true Mountaineer. Friday nights were a ritual topped only by family. Everyone who knew Jr. has their own story which instantly brings a smile to their face and causes them to shake their head in amazement. He is remembered by many for his contributions to the community through businesses such as his long time running store, Reip's Carry Out. One thing is for certain, his one of a kind, infectious, booming laugh will be missed beyond measure.

A funeral service will be held at Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc., Arnoldsburg, WV on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. with Evangelist Steve Boggs officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m. Tuesday. Interment will be in Reip Cemetery.
