Sharon Rose White, 25, a Rosedale area resident, was Braxton County's first highway fatality last week, according to Deputy Sheriff John David Jordan. White was killed in a single vehicle accident on old Route 4 at the Servia Road intersection.

Kevin Scott Braley of Ivydale, who was also in the vehicle, was transferred by HealthNet to General Division of CAMC in serious condition with a head injury.

The 1992 Chevy Lumnia landed on its top, authorities said.

Sharon Rose White was born in Roane County, the daughter of Bill Robert and Janet Vanburen White of Frametown and was a member of the Mill Fork Community Church at Rosedale. Funeral services were conducted last Monday in the Stump Funeral Home in Arnoldsburg with interment in the Mill Fork Cemetery at Rosedale.
