(03/15/2018)

Prosecutor Shannon Johnson said a jury was impaneled and after due deliberation, returned a verdict of guilty to Possession with Intent to Deliver Hydromorphone, a Schedule II narcotic controlled substance, a felony; Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine, a Schedule II non-narcotic controlled substance, a felony; Driving on a Revoked License for DUI, third offense, a felony; and Fleeing from an Officer by Any Means Other than the Use of a Motor Vehicle, a misdemeanor.

The court will hear post-trial motions with Carpenter's case on March 28.

Carpenter faces a potential sentence of three years to 24 years in the state penitentiary and a minimum fine of three thousand dollars up to forty five thousand five hundred dollars.

The case was investigated by Trooper S.A. McDonald of the WV State Police.

The Court also heard three juvenile cases.

Judge Ashley will also be present in Calhoun Circuit Court on March 14 to hear four juvenile cases.
