COUNTY PRESCHOOL & KINDERGARTEN ENROLLMENT INFORMATION

Calhoun County Universal Preschool has enrollment packets available for parents now for the school year 2018--2019.

Enrollment packets may be picked up at Arnoldsburg Elementary, Pleasant Hill Elementary or Calhoun County Board of Education during school hours.

All children who are 4 years old prior to July 1, 2018 are eligible to apply for enrollment.

Calhoun County Schools will be conducting Registration Fairs on the following dates: Pleasant Hill Elementary on April 6, call Deb Goff at 304-354-6022 or stop by the school to schedule an appointment.

Arnoldsburg Elementary on April 20, call Cathy Dickey at 304-655-8616 or stop by the school to schedule an appointment.

The registration fairs are being set up to assist families getting the necessary documentation for starting school. We will conduct developmental, hearing, vision, and dental screenings at the fairs.

All children applying for preschool must have the following documents prior to the beginning of the 2018-2019 school year.

* Certified Birth Certificate (Vital Statistics Certificate from Charleston only)

* Immunization Record

* Preventative Health Screen with dental check and hemoglobin test (available through your physician)

*Pre-K Universal Application

* Proof of Income (W2, 1040, or proof of Government Assistance) Completed preschool enrollment packets are due by the date of the registration fairs.

Any child from birth to 3 years old who is thought to have developmental delays is eligible to be screened for possible services. Please contact the school to register for a screening.

AES and PHE both offer an Early Steps to Student Success program for children Birth to Three. If interested in these services please plan to attend either registration fair.

Any child who will be 5 years old prior to July 1, 2018, not previously enrolled, needs to contact the secretary at their local elementary school for registration packet.
