| MORGANTOWN INCIDENT - A man is in stable condition at Ruby Memorial Hospital after an officer-involved shooting in Monongalia County Thursday.
West Virginia State Police received word that a wanted man, Jason Masters, was reportedly at a residence on Bethel Road at approximately 4 p.m.
Troopers responded to the area, and when they arrived, they found Masters walking in the roadway. Masters, then, pulled a knife and threatened troopers while advancing toward them, troopers said.
Several warnings were given, troopers said, before troopers shot and struck Masters.
Troopers performed life-saving techniques until Masters was transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital by EMS, according to troopers.
West Virginia State Police will continue to investigate the incident. |
